I am not sure who you should contact. I would suggest the Graphic Communications Scholarship Award and Career Advancement Foundation, however, I don't personally have a contact there. Hope this helps. Thanks ST

I was just talking to a very successful realtor yesterday and asked about marketing. She said that one of things she does was give the customer a photo book after they buy from her. The photo book has the customers names on the front, along with the picutre of the house. The back of it has more pictures and all the realtors information, including picture, phone, email, web site. The inside includes a few pages of the house they purchased (listing page, pictures, etc), local area information and is a 3 ring binder to include all the mortgage paperwork, etc. She claims she gets a lot of relistings because the people have her contact information when they get ready to upgrade years later. I think this is a great idea to share with your real estate customers and perhaps something you can offer as part of a "marketing package"!

Certainly, the quality of digital has come a long way and everyone agrees with that. Therefore, it really just depends on the run length and job.

The power of Digital is absolutely to target your piece, either by doing versions or specific personalization. I often say, "the power of running 1"

When used right, it compliments the offset and large run jobs.

Example, why send the same oil change coupon out to everyone when the cars with 40,000-60,000 are so much more valuable to the dealer? They need more services and are more likley to trade up cars, both huge wins for the dealer. Yet, I still get oil change coupons for my new car and my old car at the same time and they are the same coupon! To be honest, I would version to the people with 20,000 miles or less! Take advantage of economies of scale and use offset for this group to lower your price per piece. However, I would try really hard to get the customers that need more services and are more likely to buy new.

This is just one example. Almost every marketing job today has an opportunity to take advantage of Direct Marketing to increase the value of the job. In most cases, it isn't the entire job.

IF you were to choose between digital and the normal printing what would you prefer?

For me digital printing had a very wide advantage. it had a more clear image printing outputand you can even customize the images that you wish to print.
